The Moonlight Serenade Orchestra UK with The Andrews Sisters UK

The Andrews Sisters were America's most successful female vocal harmony group during the 1940s.

When the sisters burst upon the music scene in the late 1930s, they shook a very solid musical foundation, producing a slick harmonic blend by singing at the top of their lungs while trying—successfully—to emulate the blare of three harmonizing trumpets.

Maxine, Patti and LaVerne appeared regularly on radio shows and in 17 Hollywood movies with stars such as Bing Crosby and Abbott & Costello as well as singing with most of the famous Big Bands of the era including Glenn Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Benny Goodman and Xavier Cugat.

Now the UK's only celebration of the Andrews Sisters backed by a full big band (the Moonlight Serenade Orchestra UK) re-creates the fabulous close harmony sound and feel of those swinging days when they headlined not only in America but also at the London Palladium with numbers such as Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Rum & Coca Cola and Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen along with the best loved instrumentals from the big bands such as In The Mood, Opus One, Sing, Sing, Sing and Moonlight Serenade and showcase solos from each of the Sisters.
