Mock Tudor Comedy - Friday 24 May

Our monthly Mock Tudor Comedy club night with Daisy Earl as MC, and Tom Deacon headlining.  The line-up is completed by the hilarious newcomer, Sean Gorman and the seasoned comedy performer Dan Evans!

TOM DEACON sometimes can’t believe that this will be his 14th year performing stand-up around the UK and world. He’s loved every minute because his versatile and charming persona have led him to be a part of so many incredible things in the presenting world.
He has been performing live stand-up for the last 14 years – with four Edinburgh solo shows under his belt – and has been the host of his own TV, radio and online shows on BBC2, BBC Radio1, The Capital FM breakfast show, plus host of Gfinity Esports shows and YouTube football channel Copa90 – where his Eurofan escapades have notched up over 8 million views.

DAISY EARL is one of the fastest rising stars in Scottish comedy today and is attracting plaudits and accolades at an alarming rate.
Having won Best New Comedian at the Scottish Variety Awards 2015, she was then crowned Scottish Comedian of the year in the same year (making her the first ever female winner.) She then followed this up with a sell-out show at the Adelaide Fringe and returned to the UK to scoop the Best Newcomer prize at the Chortle Awards 2016.
She has performed at prestigious venues such as The Stand (both Edinburgh & Glasgow,) Jongleurs and at the Scottish Comedian of the Year Winner’s Show during the Edinburgh Fringe 2016.

DAN EVANS first appeared on the comedy circuit in 1994, shortly after leaving a promising career as one of East Anglia’s leading office menials to go full time. Over the past decade his twisted logic has delighted the nation, helping it through the dark days of the death of HRH The Queen Mother and the uncertainties of 21st century property prices. Dan’s TV and radio appearances include Brain Candy (BBC3 & 2), Channel 5 at The Store, Channel 5 Comedy Zone and the Radio 2 Stand Up Show.  He writes too, with many credits including The Very World of Milton Jones (R4 – Sony Award Winner), Rory Bremner Who Else? (CH 4), The Eleven O’Clock Show (CH 4), The Live Floor Show (BBC 1), Revolver (BBC 1) and The Joan Rivers Position (CH 5).  He might even try to sell you a book or two in the break!

SEAN GORMAN has quickly proven to have a bright future in stand up. Within the first couple of years he reached the finals of the Reading Fringe New Act, Piccadilly Comedy Club New Act and South Coast Comedian of The Year competitions. Displaying the stage presence of a more seasoned comedian, his deadpan delivery and self deprecating humour has the audience hanging on every word. Sean can be seen performing at some of the best and most famous comedy clubs on the UK circuit, including The Comedy Store, Downstairs At The Kings Head, Mock Tudor Comedy and The Stand Up Club, as well as many other clubs across the UK and Europe.  Catch him now while you still can!
